Silverwood will be governed by two non-profit entities, the Silverwood Assembly and the Silverwood Association, responsible for facilitating community meetings and events, and overseeing additional community organizations.

The project is creating local jobs and bringing development dollars by improving roads and creating new outdoor recreation and event spaces. Silverwood will create construction jobs for people and companies based in the Mojave River Valley. Thousands of infrastructure improvement-related jobs will be needed, in the form of building roads, bridges and commercial buildings, in addition to the construction of residences. The goal is to hire as many contractors and builders from the region as possible. Over the next 25 years of development, more than $1.6 billion dollars will be invested to improve the region’s infrastructure and services.
What will be the traffic implications of Silverwood?
Silverwood will be spending more than $160 million to help improve the local roads including major improvements to Ranchero Road to the north and adding new roads to the south, connecting the project to highway 138 and pulling traffic away from the Cajon Pass. Looking ahead, a high-speed train being developed will connect the region to both Las Vegas and Southern California.
